Pain isn’t processed; it's layered across generations like sediment, piling up over time. In many cases, control becomes an unhealthy coping mechanism to stave off the terrifying uncertainty that comes with letting go. So much so that the walls meant to protect your heart grow internally within your body as barriers of stress and tension—til even trauma finds a steady resting place inside those walls. This is especially true for those moments when instincts were dismissed: when someone belittled your sensitivity, disregarded your protest, or violated your boundaries without a second thought. Slowly, you may have learned to distrust that inner voice—the very one designed to keep you safe—and stopped listening altogether. Your body still spoke up for you though, loudly declaring what actions or choices weren’t safe anymore…even when you chose not to hear it. ### Reclaiming Your Core Power But even beneath years of silence or suppression exists an undeniable truth—your gut isn’t just a repository for wounds and fears; it’s also home to an abundant source of strength and wisdom.
